Alaskan Woman Punches Bear to Save Dog
Alaska hairdresser Brooke Collins normally spends her days wielding flatirons and scissors. But earlier this week, she wielded something with a bit more punch: Her fist, aimed squarely at the face of a black bear that was set on having her elderly dachshund for lunch.
“It had her kind of like when they eat salmon,” Collins said in a Reuters article. “I was freaking out. I was screaming at it. My dog was screaming. I ran up to it … I just punched it right in the snout and it let go.”
